Sept 17 - Troop 3 95th Anniversary Celebration Committee Final followup Meeting, 7:30PM, 2nd Congregational Church. Debriefing on the event to capture the plus/deltas to be used for planning the troop's 100th anniversary in 2014.
Sept 18 & 19 - Troop Camp out & OA Beaver Weekend at Ed Strang Scout Reservation. Arrive after 6PM on Sept 18, depart after 8PM on Sept 19. Cost $10, sign up by this Wed with Mr. Ray Oppel. Patrol quartermasters and Troop quartermaster equipment lists for Wed. Election of OA officers will take place during the campout weekend. Permission slip attached, please print out and bring with you to the weekend event. We will have the troop medical forms box with us. Adult help needed overnight and/or during the day on Saturday, please let Randy know if you can assist.
Sept 24 - Troop 3 Committee Meeting, 7PM . Open to all leaders, committee members and interested parents.

Sept 27 - Ed Strang Community Day on the Derby Green. Our day to showcase Scouting to the community. Every scout is asked to bring a friend to participate in hands on activities run by our patrols. Setup begins at 10AM, event open to public Noon to 4PM. Patrols have selected their stations and need 100% participation to be successful. Ed Strang Day Patrol assignments: Junior Leaders -Cooking, Whirling Dervish - Blind Maze, Deviled Eggs - Modern Campsite, Pink UPMAs - Gateway, Ghostriders - Catapult, Scorching Skulls - Old time Campsite, Brian Mezzapelle- Canyon Adventure Video . Crew 33 - Monkey Bridge . Patrols to do 3 min. presentations on their stations at Sept 23 troop meeting.

Altar Fire pt 2 (Altar fire tables must be stable and have tight lashings, bring fire building materials and lighting equipment for rope burning contest )
Camp gadgets - each patrol to bring materials to make 2 simple camp gadgets using pioneering skills.
Knife Safety Stations- safety, sharpening, hatchet/axe, saw - each patrol to bring a sharpening stone and at least one pocket knife
