Top 10 scouts/ top patrol to go on Cape Cod trip beginning on the evening of June 25 and ending on the afternoon of June 28 (drivers needed). Some patrols did not include camporee attenance for individual points. Be sure to include all attendance at the recent Memorial Service & Parade events (worth 100 points each).
Troop Court of Honor/Picnic will be on Wed night June 10 instead of June 13. All advancement and completed merit badge cards must be handed in to Advancement Chair Mike Breault by May 27. Families are asked to bring a salad or dessert to the picnic.
Summer Camp Medical forms: Mrs Edwards (our camp nurse) will be taking all updated medical forms required for summer camp. All updated forms must be handed in by June 3rd. All medication containers for camp should have the scout's photo attached to it.
Canyon Adventure Mandatory Hike: Our Canyon Adventure Crew will take a day hike at Bear Mountain in Salisbury on July 11th following the Summer Camp Court of Honor. Exchange Scout Host Families: We are taking signups for families interested in hosting our exchange scouts this summer. 3 Irish and 2 English scouts for the following dates July 8-11, July 18-30, Aug 10-12. Let Randy know if your family is interested in hosting 2 or 3 scouts for a few days. Mrs. Rhonda Thompson will serve as the Exchange Scout Host coordinator.
Derby Summer Concert Concession sales: Parents of 2010 Jamboree scouts are being given the first opportunity to sign up for helping at the summer concerts. Summer camp merit badge & tent mates signup. Know which week or weeks you are attending camp. Print out, review available meritbadges by time and fill out the form, one form for each week you are attending camp. 1st year scouts will participate in the 1st year program the 1st week they attend camp and then select merit badges for the 2nd week. Merit badges are only offered at specific times and you can only register for one merit badge per time slot. Help us by completing all forms accurately. Regarding tentmates, we have 3 Irish and 2 English scouts and each needs a tent mate during Week 2. Let Randy know if you are interested. Summer camp Senior Patrol Leaders will also be elected and then they will appoint summer camp patrol leaders, giving current Patrol Leaders top priority.

May 30 - Troop 3 Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Mike Herde 4PM in Oxford. All are invited. Picnic to follow.
June 5-6 Order of the Arrow Ordeal Weekend and Beaver Day at Strang Scout Reservation. Come and help prepare YOUR camp for the summer. All Ordeal candidates must attend to be elected into the OA. Current Ordeal members have the opportunity to advance to Brotherhood. All scouts & families are invited to help.
June 7 - Troop 3's 95th Anniversary Celebration, 12PM @ Villa Bianca, Seymour. All Troop 3 Scouts in Class A uniforms will be admitted free of charge to the celebration provided they attend with a parent and register in advance. Every Troop 3 Scout who attends will receive a free 95th Anniversary neckerchief.. Adult tickets are $25 and children $15. 95th anniversary tshirts, hats and neckerchiefs will be available at the event.. Return reservation form to Cyndi Poppa with payment to BSA Troop 3 by the June 1 deadline.
