Dec 17 is Troop Court of Honor and Christmas Party – Each patrol to do Christmas song & original Christmas skit. Bring a $5 wrapped grab bag gift and cookies. Parents and families are encouraged to attend.

Dec 20 – PLC trip to NYC, Meet at 2nd Cong Church by 7:25AM, bring a bagged lunch, cost $20, winter jacket, hat & gloves. We will return to the 2nd Cong Church for 9PM.

No PLC meeting on Dec 21 or Dec 28 and no troop meeting on Dec 24 or Dec 31

Dec 27 – Old Timer’s Night Troop Meeting 7 to 9PM Program : T3 Aviation Theme, Gang Show name that tune. Patrol assignments: Scorching Skulls: Bench & chair setup , UPMA/Ramones: Table setup , Deviled Eggs & Pink Panthers: Scrapbook setup on tables , Whirling Dervishes: Opening & Closing Ceremonies , Everyone: Clean up

Jan 2-4 PLC Ski Weekend to Killington, Vermont Need to know who from the PLC is going to Killington by this Wednesday. Drivers needed. Jan 7 - Art Theme Troop meeting playdoh sculpture contest (playdoh to be provided) lego buildoff (patrols need to provide lego blocks) field trip to Valley Art Gallery on Elizabeth St.

Jan 9-11 Troop Skiing weekend –We are staying at the Bassett Building and skiing at Mohawk Mountain. Mr. Laskos will have Mohawk Mtn ski information or view here: http://www.mohawkmtn.com/CMX/?page_id=66 and signup by this Wednesday.

Jan 14 – Art Theme Troop meeting Photoshop entries and patrol videos due by Sun Jan 11 PLC. photoshop- provide printed work (1 per patrol) art gallery style patrol video – (max time is 4min.) guitar hero competition – Each patrol needs to have contest to determine patrol winner

Do a good turn daily. Shovel the driveway and sidewalk for elderly neighbors or relatives.

Dec 5-7 – Tierney Lean-tos Troop Campout this weekend

Arrive at Strang Scout Reservation after 6PM on Dec 5, Depart by 10AM on Dec 7. Expect to walk to the lean tos from the main camp parking lot. Scouts must pack so that they are carrying all gear, not their parents. We will have frame backpacks available on Wed night for anyone who needs one. Use bungee chords to fasten items like sleeping bags, tarps, and other gear to your pack. Be prepared for a great weekend!

Sat, Dec 27 – Old Timer’s Night Troop Meeting 7 to 9PM at Derby 2^nd Congregational Church. This annual event has been held since the 1940s for current and former scouts and their families.
