This Wed. is the troop's quarterly Court of Honor. All parents are encouraged to attend. We will also have exchange scout, Seabase and Maine Adventure trip presentations. Please bring dessert items for the social following the COH.

Popcorn Sales: Deadline for orders and money is next Wed, Oct 22. Pizza party to top selling patrol with orders and money in on Oct 22. See Popcorn "Kernel" Cyndi Tracz for more information. Oct 30 is the deadline for the Trails End popcorn photo contest to win an Ipod Nano.

Backpacking weekend is Oct 24-26. Appalachian Trail, Fantastic Fall Foilage hike for scouts 1st class & above.

Oct 30 is our Troop Halloween Costume Party & Games night, bring a bag of individually wrapped candy. Prizes for best costumes. All-Game night, good time to bring a friend (worth 200 points each for up to 5 friends).

Care package for someone serving in the military abroad is due by each patrol on Nov 5. Also include a thank you letter from your patrol along with your mailing address. Please also provide the mailing addresses for any service men or women you may know by Nov 5.

Nov 8 Scouting for Food pickup - We will meet at St. Mary Church, Derby at 11AM to retrieve food donations from our assigned routes. Parents needed to help drive.

Nov 8 will be our Macaroni & Meatball fundraiser at St. Mary's Church in Derby to benefit Housatonic Council. Download 2008_macaroni_supper_reservation_form_t3.pdf RSVP and payment must be in by Nov 5. We still have several ingredients that need sponsoring ($25 coffee supplies, $40 sauce containers and $100 sausage). Troop 3 Scouts who work at the event will not have to pay for a meal. We are also asking for families to donate a dessert tray with 30 of the same item for the mixed dessert trays we will make, or a gift basket valued at $50 for the raffle. Nov 15 Scrap 'n Chat Fundraiser for Housatonic Council. First United Methodist Church, Shelton. $40 all day 9-5, $30 half day. For more information contact Scrapbooking Queen Sue Stankye, 736-9539.

Tickets are available for Brian Dennehy's Nov 15 performance of "Hughie" at Long Wharf Theater. Tickets are $50 and we will be meeting with Brian after the performance.
