Our 15th Annual Ed Strang Community Day will take place on Sunday, Sept 28, rain or shine.
In the case of wet weather the event will take place inside of the Derby 2nd Congregational Church.
Please be sure to arrive in Class A uniform at 10AM for setup. The public is invited from noon to 4PM. Scouts are encouraged to bring their friends and will earn 200 points for each scout age friend to attend.
Renown raptor expert Jonathon Wood will be bringing his 15 to 20 birds of prey, including a bald eagle. More info can be found here: http://www.raptorproject.com/johnbio.htm

I have trouble with the Scouts for the same reansos you cite, but I also agree with you that there is some good that can come out of it. I would TOTALLY defect to Canada, though - bravo to them for standing up and doing the right thing.I pathologically avoid any situation where standing in a circle, holding hands and singing is required...
