Camping at 5 national parks, including Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon NP, Canyonland NP, Arches NP and Monument Valley NP. Fly to/from Las Vegas and Travel by van with TrekAmerica Company, which provides tour leader, camping & cooking gear and coordinates all activities.

Dates: Early August, 2009. (for 11 days)
Costs: Approx. $1,800 (includes airfare, meals, transportation, lodging and activities like hiking, rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, and extreme Hummer tour).
Deposit of $150 will secure your spot (can use funds in your troop account). Requirements: MUST be 13 by Aug 1, 2009. Must be at least 1stClass Rank. Must attend 1 week at Ed Strang Scout Reservation in 2009. Must enjoy day hikes. Must be a scout in good standing with Scoutmaster’s approval.
Summer Camp Medicals now overdue – All Scouts must complete the updated personal information area of the medical forms and hand in at the troop meeting. Scouts who have not handed in a completed physical form signed by a doctor within the last 3 years must do so. Scouts will not be allowed to attend camp without physicals.

Summer Camp merit badges and signups. Camp SPLs Alec Hughes and Tyler Stankye will be tracking down the remaining scouts who haven’t handed in this information. This must be completed by June 11.
June 14 – Troop Court of Honor and Family Picnic at Derby 2nd Congregational Church.
Court of Honor will begin at 12:00 noon.PLC to arrive by 11:30AM to help set up.
Camporee patches & ribbonstroop celebrities, Top 10 & Top Patrol, merit badges, rank advancement to be presented. Super Trip ’09 will be announced.
Picnic will be immediately after the Court of Honor.Please bring a dessert item or side dish.Please contact Jacque Campoli at 231-4740 or email email@example.com June 9 and let her know what you will be bringing and how many in your party.This is important so she knows how much food to purchase for the picnic.Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks are provided by the Troop.

June 21st – Derby Day – Troop 3 to run Dunk Tank – See Mrs. Cafaro to sign up for your work time (parents & scouts).
June 26-29 – Block Island Cycling Weekend for Top Patrol and Top 10 Scouts.
